I. The first level of affiliation is Interpersonal Heritage Guide (I-PG).
This professional specialises in direct communication with visitors, guiding them through programmes that encourage understanding and appreciation of heritage. Their role is essential in providing a meaningful experience, using personal interaction as a key tool to effectively convey the value and significance of heritage.

II. The second level of affiliation is the Multimedia Heritage Interpreter (I-PM). Professionals at this level have advanced significantly in their development as heritage interpreters, having acquired a robust set of interpretive skills and demonstrated a sustained commitment to the profession for over four years. They specialise in designing and delivering heritage interpretation programmes through multimedia formats, expertly blending technology and content to create innovative and impactful interpretive experiences.

III. The third affiliation standard is the Senior Interpreter (I-PS). This level acknowledges professionals who have attained a distinguished level of excellence in heritage interpretation. Senior Interpreters possess over ten years of experience in both personal and multimedia interpretation techniques, as well as in planning, managing, and training other heritage interpreters. Their extensive experience and expertise allow them to lead and make substantial contributions to the development and evaluation of interpretive programmes, while also mentoring and training the next generation of professionals in the field.

Honourary Interpreters have made a lasting impact on the discipline, setting high standards and enriching the field with their innovations and expertise.
